Hi, I’m Kat 👋

My story

I feel most like myself when I’m using my inventive and intellectual powers to solve problems and dream up improved ways of doing things. My attention is largely focused on the world around me, and I’m constantly looking for ways to push things forward. I enjoy being around people and finding out what makes them tick.

Currently, I work as a product designer for a health charity, a role that aligns perfectly with my aspiration to contribute to a purpose-driven organisation.

See what inspires me.

In my free time

I draw and paint digitally or use traditional materials such as gouache. I also occasionally bake for my friends, collect and upcycle old Christmas baubles (and run a small seasonal business selling them) and try to motivate my 15-year-old chihuahua to go for walks with me.

My past experiences

Ti Pi Tin was established entirely by myself as an online platform dedicated to selling, supporting and promoting publications made by artists. It quickly developed into a physical artist-run project space in North London.

The shop offered a diverse selection of vibrant and stimulating works ranging from independently and self-published limited edition books to small press monographs, journals and zines as well as a selection of artists’ editions and multimedia, including DIY cassette tapes.

My role was to sustain the business for myself and my employees; thus, I was responsible for all aspects of the company management, including brand identity. In addition, I was also continuously working to develop a dynamic program of events: talks, screenings and social gatherings aimed at offering visitors opportunities and catalysts for debate and discussion around contemporary independent art publishing.
